"Migrating Accounts Payable from 'Vintage' to the Digital Age" Intercontinental Hotel, Toronto, ON
225 Front Street West, Toronto, ON
On Thursday November 13, 2008, CDIT hosted a seminar titled “Migrating from ‘Vintage” to the Digital Age” along with strategic partners Kofax Inc., Basware, Kodak Canada, and Cranel Imaging. Held at the Intercontinental Centre in Toronto, this seminar demonstrated the most comprehensive invoice automation solution in the world.
The day started off with a live action performance showcasing the difference between a manual invoice processing system and one that is automated using the products provided by Kofax and Basware and implemented by CDIT. Visitors were amazed to see how much more efficient the automated system was compared to the old manual process.
Bob Quaratella and Bryan Schaefer from Kofax gave excellent presentations on the benefits and advantages of utilizing their top of the line document imaging technologies in the workplace. Some of the key concepts that were demonstrated include the reduced time required to prepare documents for scanning and the improved efficiency of capturing data off of invoice documents. Best of all, they showed how the Kofax scanning and matching process can be used to clear out 80% of invoices direct to payment.
Scott McLeod from Basware also took to the stage and showed how quick and easy it is to route invoices to be approved within the Basware Enterprise Purchase to Pay Solution. It was easy to see from the seminar that the implementation of Basware’s system would lead to a drastic reduction to the workload of the accounts payable workforce while also making it easier to retrieve documents at a later date.
The response to the seminar was overwhelming. Attendees left with a greater appreciation of the automated accounts payable process. They now know what they can do greatly reduce the time and cost associate with processing their invoices and in doing so give their company a competitive edge.
