AP-FLO Workflow Solution for DocuShare CPX
AP-FLO is a CDIT-designed and developed Accounts Payable Automated Workflow Solution for DocuShare CPX. The solution automates manual tasks, inherent in the traditional paper-based Accounts Payable process, such as invoice review and approval and cheque processing. Integrated with the industry-leading Invoice Capture solutions from Kofax, AP-FLO can provide your organization with a complete, end-to-end, solution for the processing and management of Accounts Payable information.

CDIT Import Controller for Kofax Capture
The Ascent Capture Import Controller (ACIC) is a CDIT-developed custom module for Kofax Capture (Ascent Capture), which facilitates the automated import of electronic files into pre-defined batch class workflows for processing within Ascent Capture. ACIC runs as an unattended Windows service and can be configured to process any number of Import Jobs to support multiple Ascent Capture batch class definitions.

Key features of the CDIT ACIC include configurable import parameters, such as application directories, batch classes, import polling frequency, and batch-level field mappings. The CDIT ACIC also supports the automatic conversion of image resolution for incoming faxes.

Custom A2iA Validation Module for Kofax Capture
The CDIT-developed custom A2iA validation module, which integrates seamlessly with Kofax Capture (Ascent Capture), accepts A2iA ICR Recognition Engine XML output and displays the contents of the index zone, using a Kofax View control, for review and correction.

Using a customized scoring algorithm, the validation module assesses the level of accuracy with which the component letters of words have been recognized by the A2iA ICR Recognition Engine and only those characters that fall below an administrator defined threshold score become editable via a correction interface.

The correction interface presents a “snippet” of the scanned image above each index field and a red square frames character being edited, providing a visual cue to the operator. The default editing behaviour of the custom module allows a validation/correction user to replace only those characters whose score is below the pre-defined threshold and require correction, via manual data entry. For instance, if the word "Jefferson" is scanned and the "s" and “o” characters scores fall below the pre-defined threshold then the user will be presented with "Jeffer__n" and the user will be able to replace the underscores with the appropriate letter, as illustrated in the screen capture below.

Document Assembly Module for Kofax Capture
The Document Assembly Module for Kofax Capture is an unattended module that seamlessly integrates with Kofax Capture (Ascent Capture) to perform background document sorting and assembly functions, using barcode recognition, significantly reducing the operational costs associated with manual document preparation and indexing.

Employing data extracted from page-level barcodes and leveraging Ascent Capture’s XML backbone architecture, the Document Assembly Module sorts a batch of scanned images and assembles documents by concatenating images that share a common index value, such as reference number, in the correct page sequence.

To further enhance the Document Assembly Module’s functionality, it can be configured to perform automated database lookups to line-of-business applications, using Ascent Capture’s native lookup capabilities, to dramatically reduce or entirely eliminate manual index data entry.

Print/Fax Extension for Kofax Capture
CDIT's Print/Fax Extension allows Ascent Capture users to print or fax a batch of documents, a single document or a selected page directly from within the Scan, Validation, Verification or Quality Control modules in Kofax Capture (Ascent Capture). Printing/faxing at the batch level submits all documents and corresponding pages in the batch. Printing/faxing at the document level submits all pages in the selected document, while printing/faxing at the page level submits only the selected page. Users are able to select from a list of configured printers or fax servers on which the printing/faxing is to be performed.

The Print/Fax Extension is easy to install and register and uses the familiar right-click Windows pop-up menu and Windows printer selection screen, thus minimizing the requirement for end-user training.

QC Investigations Console for Kofax Capture
The CDIT Quality Control Investigations Console allows Kofax Capture (Ascent Capture) operators to validate and re-index key metadata on documents from within the Quality Control modules. Visible in the Quality Control module as an additional panel, operators are able to quickly perform quality checks on documents by editing, copying and saving index field data. The QC Investigations Console is a valuable addition to the Ascent Capture Workflow process, allowing investigations to be performed independently without impacting any other processes.

The QC Investigations Console also integrates with the Administration module, allowing an administrator the ability to set index field status including Read Only, Read/Write or Hidden to indicate the status on the fields which are available on the QC Investigations Console.
